Early Life & Education – Gabriel Basso was born Louis Gabriel Basso III on December 11, 1994, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Marcie and Louis J. Basso Jr. He has two sisters Alexandra and Annalise Basso who both are famous actresses. While growing up, he wanted to become a football player but he later found his interest in acting.
Career – He marked his acting debut after playing a small role of a kid who had cancer in the 2007 American comedy film Meet Bill. The role he played in the film went uncredited. Later that same year, Gabriel had seen in another small role which also went uncredited in Sandy Tung’s comedy-drama Alice Upside Down.
In 2009, Gabriel Basso played one of the main roles in the coming-of-age film Alabama Moon. He was cast as Hal Mitchell alongside Jimmy Bennett, John Goodman, and Uriah Shelton. The film was based on the book of the same name by Watt Key which received the Dove Foundation Family Approved seal in 2010.
She was then cast as Elliot in an episode of the American fantasy comedy-drama Eastwick and Rodney Glossner in the sitcom television The Middle. His career’s breakout role came in 2010 when she secured the leading role in Showtime’s comedy-drama The Big C. The series has a total of four seasons which started streaming on August 16, 2010, and concluded on May 20, 2013.
In 2015, Gabriel acted alongside Hailee Steinfeld and Sophie Turner in Kyle Newman’s action comedy Barely Lethal. Despite the mixed reviews, the film failed at the box office. Over the years, he went on to make episode appearances in TV shows such as R. L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour: The Series, Perception, and The Red Road.
