Early Life & Education – Sophia Anne Caruso was born on July 11, 2001, in Spokane, Washington, United States. Her father Steve Caruso is a former professional golfer whereas her mother Deena Caruso owns clothing and jewelry stores. She has two older siblings. Caruso was passionate about acting since her childhood which led her to enroll in a local theatre called Spokane Children’s Theatre. Subsequently, she joined Spokane Civic Theatre and Interplayers Professional Theatre to learn the nuances of acting and performing on stage.

Career – She performed as Helen Keller in her debut Theatre production titled The Miracle Worker at Interplayers in 2011. Caruso was next set to play Tina Denmark in another Interplayers Theatre production “Ruthless! The Musical” in 2012. The musical was never opened because its performing actor David Gigler collapsed on stage during rehearsal just days before opening and unfortunately died.

Caruso played Jane in Secondhand Lions: A New Musical at 5th Avenue Theatre, Seattle. She commenced her television career in 2013 after landing the supporting role as Brigitta von Trapp in the TV special The Sound of Music Live!. That same year, she was seen playing episode appearances in series like Celebrity Ghost Stories and Smash.
