Early Life & Education – She was born Milena Markovna Kunis on August 14, 1983, in Chernivtsi, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union. She is the daughter of Mark Kunis and Elvira. Her father is a mechanical engineer but works as a cab driver to double his earnings whereas her mother is a physics teacher who runs a pharmacy as well.

Mila relocated to Los Angeles when she was just seven years old where she studied at Hubert Howe Bancroft Middle School. Later, she went to Fairfax High School and graduated in 2001. During her school days, she became interested in acting and started performing in school events and local drama. She then attended the prestigious University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.

Career – She began her acting career after appearing in a commercial for Barbie. Her first television role came in 1994 when she played Young Hope Williams in Days of Our Lives which aired on NBC. Shortly after, she was seen in two episodes of the American action drama series Baywatch. Mila then had a minor role in The John Larroquette Show.

In 1996, she marked her film debut as well, by playing the role of Sarah in the American comedy Santa with Muscles.
