Early Life & Education – Thora Birch was born on March 11, 1982, in Los Angeles, California, to Carol Connors and Jack Birch. Both of her parents were from the adult entertainment industry. She has a younger sibling named Kian Bolt Birch.

Her parents didn’t want her to pursue a career in the entertainment industry due to their own experience. But they agreed to support her after being convinced by a babysitter who had seen her acting potential when Thora was a child and share her pictures with an agent.

Career – Thora was just four years old when kicked off her acting after landing the role in a commercial for Quaker Oats Commercial. Shortly after, she was featured in more commercials including Burger King, California Raisins, and Vlasic Pickles.

In 1988, she commenced her acting career after portraying the character of Molly Johnson in the science-fiction comedy Purple People Eater. For her performance, the actress earned a Youth In Film Award and a Young Artist Award in the category of “Best Young Actress Under Nine Years of Age”. This was followed by her first television role in the American sitcom Day By Day in which she was seen playing Molly in 21 episodes.
