Who is Sophie Thatcher? Sophie Thatcher is an American film and television actress who has become the talk of the town since the release of Showtime’s Yellowjackets. Early Life – Sophie was born on October 18, 2000, in Chicago, Illinois, to American Parents. Sophie received her primary education from Evanston Township High School. While growing up, she become interested in music and acting and began performing in school plays which led her to pursue acting more than singing.

Career – In 2016, she forayed into the world of entertainment having starred in a guest appearance in NBC’s police procedural series Chicago P.D. as Carolyn Clifford. That same year, she played the younger version of Regan MacNeil in two episodes of Fox’s supernatural horror TV series The Exorcist.

Having debuted on television, she moved towards the films works as well and commenced her film career by playing Cee in science fiction Prospect alongside Pedro Pascal. The film received mixed reviews but her performance was appreciated by many in general. The same year, she bagged a television role as Deb in an American medical drama series Chicago Med.

The following year, she landed in Noble Jones’ directorial debut The Tomorrow Man as Jeanine along with John Lithgow, Blythe Danner, Derek Cecil, and Katie Aselton. The film had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival despite mixed reviews.

Her first breakthrough role came in 2020 when she was cast to play Becky Monroe in Rebecca Thomas’s directorial venture When the Streetlights Go On.
