Werewolf by Night: Marvel Drops First Trailer, Announces Release Date
So many movies and Television shows have been announced during Disney’s D23 Expo. Marvel’s Werewolf by Night is one of the shows among others that get the release date along with its first trailer. The Special would be the first live-action appearance of Werewolf by Night outside of the comics.
Marvel Studios’ Special Presentation: Werewolf By Night will mark its debut on Disney+ on October 7, 2022, within less than four weeks from now.
The Special’s trailer introduces Marvel fans to Jack Russell who turns into the titular lycanthropic character, Elsa Bloodstone – a female monster-hunter, Verusa who is believed to be a non-Marvel Comics character, Man-Thing, a scientist who transforms into an empathetic swamp monster, and many others.

Marvel studio released the trailer during the event. Its black and white theme are tempting the fans and is certainly looking very unique and dark. In case you skipped the trailer, then you must check it out because it’s like nothing you have ever seen from Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) before.

What’s the Plot of Werewolf by Night?
Here’s the official synopsis for Marvel Studio’s special presentation: Werewolf by Night reads:-
“On a dark and somber night, a secret cabal of monster hunters emerge from the shadows and gather at the foreboding Bloodstone Temple following the death of their leader. In a strange and macabre memorial to the leader’s life, the attendees are thrust into a mysterious and deadly competition for a powerful relic—a hunt that will ultimately bring them face to face with a dangerous monster.”

Who are the cast members of Werewolf by Night?
The Mexican actor and producer “Gael García Bernal” was finalized to portray Jack Russell / Werewolf by Night in September 2022. He was joined by Laura Donnelly who will be seen as Elsa Bloodstone. While, the rest of the cast members including Harriet Sansom Harris, Jaycob Maya, Eugenie Bondurant, and Kirk Thatcher were later announced.

When Is The Release Date of Werewolf by Night?
On August 26, 2021, MCU reportedly announced a Halloween theme The Special for Disney+, based on the character of Werewolf by Night. A couple of months later, it was revealed that the Principal photography is soon to be started. Filming for the special began on March 22, 2022, and was wrapped up just after a month.
During Disney+ D23 Expo, Marvel Studio unveiled the release date of Werewolf by Night. It is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on October 7, 2022.
Werewolf by Night is directed by Michael Giacchino who has won several awards including an Oscar, an Emmy, and three Grammys. The script for MCU Halloween special will be penned by Heather Quinn. It will be produced by Marvel Studios.
