Disney and Pixar’s Elemental Gets The Release Date And Cast
Disney and Pixar have given many wonderful animated films over the course of time. They have joined hands again for another venture titled Elemental which wouldn’t be a sequel, spin-off, or prequel. That means we are expecting to see very new and fresh stories. Elemental’s theme would be based on the basic elements of the world that have been given by nature itself.
The announcement for Pixar’s 27th feature film “Elemental” was made almost a year before, but the studio recently unveiled some images and artwork from the movie along with its release date and main cast.
During Disney’s D23 Expo, The show creator revealed the two main characters named Ember (Leah Lewis) and Wade (Mamoudou Athie) who are standing side by side and apparently looking very excited. The image shows Ember is made of fire whereas Wade is made of water. As they are completely opposite in nature so what they have been doing together, makes the fans curious. You can check out the first look of the main cast below.
The film will be directed by Pete Sohn who found the idea for the film while growing up in New York. Sohn stated in a statement – “My parents emigrated from Korea in the early 1970s and built a bustling grocery store in the Bronx. We were among many families who ventured to a new land with hopes and dreams—all of us mixing into one big salad bowl of cultures, languages, and beautiful little neighborhoods. That’s what led me to Elemental.”
The director then added about the plot – “Our story is based on the classic elements—fire, water, land, and air. Some elements mix with each other, and some don’t. What if these elements were alive?”
Denise Ream serves as the producer who has previously collaborated with Peter Sohn on The Good Dinosaur. Elemental is scheduled to release in theaters on June 16, 2023.
