Who is Anna Chlumsky? – American actress Anna Chlumsky has been starred in many films and television throughout her acting career. She wanted to be an actress ever since she was a kid. Early Life & Education – Anna was born on December 3, 1980, in Chicago, Illinois, to Nancy (née Zuncic) and Frank Chlumsky Jr. Her mother is a singer, actress, and former flight attendant whereas her father is a chef and saxophone player. She has a brother named Frank Chlumsky.

She studied at Walther Lutheran High School located in Melrose Park, Illinois. After school, she went to the prestigious University of Chicago where she earned a BA in International Studies. She then attended Atlantic Acting School situated in Manhattan in order to pursue an acting career.

Career – She entered the entertainment industry at an early age. Her first acting role came in 1989 when she was signed to play a minor role in the comedy film Uncle Buck. As a child actress, she starred as Vada Sultenfuss in Howard Zieff’s coming-of-age comedy-drama My Girl and in its sequel My Girl 2. The film was a success at the box office that even gave her exposure.

After the two successful projects, she secured the main roles in Trading Mom (1994) and Gold Diggers: The Secret of Bear Mountain (1995). Her performance was appreciated by the critics and audience.

Following the success of her film appearance, she moved towards television work and made her debut as well by playing Missy Chandler in the 1997 drama A Child’s Wish which was based on actual events. She portrayed the character of a 16-year-old terminally ill girl and the actor John Ritter played the role of her father as Ed Chandler.

That same year, she has another appearance in the television film as Gina Weatherby / Field Pea in Miracle in the Woods. In the next year, she was seen playing small roles in two TV drama series titled Cupid and Early Edition after this, she took a break from acting. In 2007, she made a huge comeback after portraying Lorraine in the comedy film Blood Car alongside Mike Brune and Katie Rowlett. That same year, she also starred as Mary Calvin and Lisa Klein in two episodes of Law & Order.
