Dakota Johnson Is Set To Star In Spider-Man Spin-Off Madame Web

Dakota Johnson’s fans would be definitely thrilled after the news came out that she is in talks to play a superhero Madame Web in Sony’s next venture. Following the huge success of Tom Holland’s starer Spider-Man: No Way Home, Sony is looking to build on its universe of Marvel Characters.

According to Hollywood Reporter, S.J. Clarkson is on board to direct this MCU-based character film. It is being jointly written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, who have previously written Jared Leto featured Morbius which is all set to theatrically release on April 1, 2022.

Madame Web was introduced in the 1980’s “The Amazing Spider-Man No. 210” comics and served as a mentor to our most beloved superhero Spider-Man, Peter Parker’s alter ego, and also generations of heroes calling themselves Spider-Woman.

Marvel Comics character Madame Web is blind and paralyzed which is why she never fought any villains. She is a clairvoyant and precognitive mutant who can predict the future of Spider-themed superheroes. As far as Dakota Johnson’s character is concerned, there is no clarity yet on how she will be presented in the flick.
