Early Life & Education– Foy was born on April 16, 1984, in Stockport, England, to David and Caroline Foy. Her mother worked in a Pharmaceutical Company whereas her father served as a Sales Director in Rank Xerox. She attended Aylesbury High School in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. Later, she enrolled in a drama program at Liverpool John Moores University. After this, she took a one-year acting course at the prestigious Oxford School of Drama, graduating in 2007.

Career – During her days in Oxford School of Drama, she performed on plays including Top Girls, Watership Down, Easy Virtue, and Touched. She commenced her acting career on television after portraying Julia Beckett in the Pilot episode of the British supernatural series Being Human in 2008. That same year, she played Chloe Webster and Amy Dorrit in the medical soap-opera ‘Doctors’, and period drama ‘Little Dorrit’ respectively.

Following her TV debut appearance, she marked her stage debut as well, in DNA and The Miracle. She then appeared in TV films like Going Postal and Season of the Witch.
