Who Is Lily Gladstone? – Lily Gladstone is an American film and TV actress who first rose to prominence in 2016 when she performed as The Rancher in the American drama film Certain Women which was edited, penned, and directed by Kelly Reichardt. The film premiered at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival before its theatrical release and become Kelly’s career highest-grossing film to date. The film received positive reviews from critics and Gladstone won numerous awards and nominations for her portrayal. Early Life & Education – Lily Gladstone was born on August 2, 1986, in Kalispell, Montana, United States. Her father is of NiMíiPuu and Blackfeet heritage whereas her mother is White. While not much information about them is available in the public domain. She received her primary education from a high school located in the Seattle suburb of Mountlake Terrace. After that, she went to the prestigious University of Montana where she graduated with a BFA in Acting/Directing and a minor in Native American studies in 2008.

Career – Her first acting role was in the French drama film Jimmy P: Psychotherapy of a Plains Indian in 2013. She then joined the cast of the American drama film Winter in the Blood which was based on James Welch’s debut novel of the same name. Written and directed by brothers Alex Smith and Andrew J. Smith, she played the key role of Marlene, featuring Chaske Spencer, David Morse, and Gary Farmer in lead roles. Gladstone next had a role in the mystery drama Subterranea.

She got her breakthrough role within three years of starting her career in the industry. She played The Rancher in Certain Women which won her a nomination for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Female.
