Sophie Monk and Joshua Gross Secretly Tie the Knot
The Australian Television Personality Sophie Monk is not a bachelor anymore. She and her loving boyfriend Joshua Gross have finally tied the knot last month, in a lavish private ceremony at their home on the Central Coast in NSW. The couple has shared some beautiful pictures of their wedding on their Instagram handles so that their fans at least could take a sneak peek of the marriage.
Monk posted “I HAVE A HUBBY! 😃We eloped-ish at home. I can’t believe I met him on a plane! It’s crazy. Best flight of my life! I really do believe everything happens for a reason.
I love you @joshuargross thanks for putting up with how messy, disorganised and lazy I am. Youre my best friend in the world AND you are welcome for how hilarious my jokes are and how I absolutely smash you in Xbox F1! We’re both lucky 🤪”
Joshua also took to Instagram and captioned indeed, a short but romantic message to his beautiful wife, “Sophie, I love you. Now and forever,”.
How They Met
Sophie mentioned in her caption “I can’t believe I met him on a plane”. Yes, She met him on a flight in August 2018, which was from Europe to Australia. The couple had some conversations, and after a few champagnes, she got the courage to ask him for a kiss.
Sophie shared her story on KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O show, “I was sitting there for a while and I went, ‘Hey, um, are you single?’ And he went, ‘Yeah.’ I went, ‘I don’t ever get to meet people in normal scenarios and, um, can I kiss you?’… I thought, ‘Oh god I’ve got a 10-hour flight with this guy, if he says no I’m in trouble.”
In an interview with 9Honey, she revealed “I just sat down and he had a sense of humour and I was like, ‘Oh, how relieving, sitting next to someone you can have a chat with. It was like, ‘Good sense of humour, hard worker’… it just happened.”
Monk’s Previous Relationships
She has previously dated actors Jason Statham, Kevin Connolly, and Ryan Seacrest. The Beauty And The Geek host has also engaged American musician Benji Madden sometime in 2007 and to French businessman Jimmy Esebag in January 2011.
Sophie has also been in relationships with Sam Worthington, Eric Grothe, Jr., and Stu Laundry in the past.
