The giant streaming platform Netflix has given several fantasy shows to the audience over the years but Sweet Tooth has a separate fan base. Netflix took to Twitter to share an update that Sweet Tooth is officially coming back for season 2 on July 29, 2021. Well, that is a piece of good news for those who are impatiently expecting the new season of the show.
Sweet Tooth Season 2 Release Date
Just two months back, Sweet Tooth season 1 was premiered on Netflix and became a huge hit. Netflix has confirmed, the show has been watched by more than 60 million views as of July 2021. The show has been surpassed Emily in Paris in terms of viewing while just behind The Queen’s Gambit.
Now, the fans of Sweet Tooth are impatiently waiting for the release date but the makers have not made any official announcement regarding it. As per the sources, the show is likely to be released in the last quarter of 2022.
Sweet Tooth Season 2 Cast
We have seen Nonso Anozie, Christian Convery, Adeel Akhtar, Stefania LaVie Owen, Dania Ramirez, Will Forte, and Neil Sandilands in the key role so assumptions are to seeing them in season 2 as well except Will Forte who played Pubba, Gus’ father if story commenced where it got ended.
While Amy Seimetz, who played Birdie, Gus’ mother and a geneticist at Fort Smith Labs, might have one of the lead roles in Sweet Tooth Season 2 as the previous season had many unanswered theories so possibly, most theories will be answered by Birdie in the upcoming season.
Along with them, the show may have some new characters but Netflix has not announced any name as of now.
Sweet Tooth Season 2 Plot
In the season 1 finale, Abbot, played by Neil Sandilands, captured Gus along with his fellow hybrids which means he now has plenty of hybrids for Dr Singh to experiments in order to find a cure. While Tommy Jepperd, played by Nonso Anozie, and Aimee Eden, played by Dania Ramirez, are teaming up to escape the children from Abbot’s lab.
Well, it will be very interesting to watch how will they be able to save kids from the lab? Will Gus still try to find her mother in the Second season of Sweet Tooth? Who was the lady in the last with Bear on the radio signal? She might be Gus mother, who is in Alaska where the virus began.
Sweet Tooth Season 2 storyline should exactly pick up where the previous season left off.
