Who is Miles Teller? – Miles Teller is a famous American film and television actor who stormed into the world of acting with his career’s breakthrough role as Andrew Neiman in the psychological drama film Whiplash which was written and directed by Damien Chazelle. After the success of Whiplash, Miles Teller landed main roles in several films including Fantastic Four (2015), War Dogs (2016), and Bleed for This (2016). Moreover, the actor won several awards and nominations including BAFTA, Satellite Awards, Teen Choice Awards, and many others throughout his acting journey.

Early Life & Education – Teller was born on February 20, 1987, in Downingtown, Pennsylvania, to Mike and Merry Flowers Teller. His father worked as a nuclear power plant engineer whereas his mother was a real estate agent. He has two older sisters named Erin and Dana. Because of his father’s profession, they often had to relocate from one city to another. He studied at Lecanto High School, in Citrus County where he became a member of his school’s rock band and used to perform on the alto saxophone.

During those days, he was the core player of his high school’s baseball team too and even wanted to become a professional baseball player. After school, he went to the New York University Tisch School of the Arts and graduated with BFA in 2009.

Career– Early in his career, he starred in several short films. After receiving a degree from Tisch School of Arts in 2009, Teller started his acting career by debuting in the 2010 American drama film Rabbit Hole. The actor portrayed Jason in John Cameron Mitchell’s directorial venture alongside Nicole Kidman and Aaron Eckhart. In 2011, he was cast as Willard Hewitt in Craig Brewer’s musical drama Footloose.

Following the success of Footloose, he was offered to play Miles in the critically acclaimed film titled Project X which was made on a budget of $12 million and grossed over $100 million worldwide. In the 2013 comedy film 21 & Over, Miles played Scott Moore.

He earned critically acclaimed for portraying Andrew Neiman in Damien Chazelle’s Whiplash which received widespread appreciation and the film was even premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2014. The film won several awards and nominations including Academy Award. Besides, Miles Teller also received many nominations for his role in the film including BAFTA Rising Star Award.

That same year, Miles appeared in three more films titled That Awkward Moment, Divergent, and Two Night Stand. By the passage of time, he cemented as a leading actor in the industry and made several film appearances.
