Early Life & Education – Austin Robert Butler was born on August 17, 1991, in Anaheim, California, to Lori Anne (née Howell) and David Butler. He has an older sister named Ashley Butler. He went to a public school to receive his elementary education but left it after his seventh grade. He was then homeschooled till completing his tenth grade because the actor also wanted to improve his acting skills side by side. After that, he took California High School Proficiency Exam test to finish his high school education.
Career – Austin’s acting career started in 2005 after appearing in Scott Fellows’ sitcom Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide. He played the role of Lionel Scranton in a total of 41 episodes from 2005 to 2007, which was uncredited. In the very next year, he guest-starred as Toby / Derek Hanson in two episodes of the American teen drama Hannah Montana. Despite the small role, he was noticed by the moviegoers who praised his performance which led him to appear as Jake Krandle in Dan Schneider’s iCarly.
