Early Life & Education – Jodie was born on September 7, 1986, in Peterborough, England to Jamaican parents. She has two siblings. She was pretty young when her parents divorced and relocated to Gaithersburg, Maryland with her mother.

She received her primary education from a local private school and further attended the University of Pittsburgh and graduated in 2008.

Career – The actress was not in performance and arts until her one of friends introduced her to American singer and musician Pharrell Williams. She met him after the concert and shared her interest to become a writer, but Williams suggested that she should pursue a career in modeling.

Soon, she moved to Los Angeles and began modeling. Jodie has done endorsements for various brands including Levi’s, Fenty x Puma, Chanel, Zana Bayne, Kylie Cosmetics, and many others.

The model turned actress made her acting debut in the 2013 horror drama TV series True Blood where she was in a minor role. Almost two years later, she landed in the comedy-thriller series Mad Dogs which aired from 2011 to 2013.
