Ana was born Ana Celia de Armas on 30 April 1988 in Santa Cruz del Norte while the actress was raised in Havana with her brother. She is the daughter of Ramon and Ana. Her father did several jobs in his career including bank manager, teacher, school principal, and deputy mayor of a town whereas her mother worked in the Human Resources department of the Ministry of Education. She is of Spanish descent on her mother’s side.
When she turned 12, she decided to be an actress and joined the National Theater School of Cuba in order to learn acting skills professionally.
