Early Life & Education– She was born on May 13, 1974, in Houston, Texas, to Carolyn (née Clark) and Kevin Accola. Her mother was an environment engineer whereas her father was a cardiothoracic surgeon. She was raised in Edgewood, Florida, along with her younger brother Kree Thomas Accola. The actress received her academic education from Lake Highland Preparatory School in Orlando.

Career – She commenced her career as a singer before making a debut in acting. It was December 2006, when she released her first album titled “It’s Always the Innocent Ones” independently in the United States. She co-wrote 12 songs of the 14 tracks of the album. The remaining two songs that she didn’t write were a cover of ‘Til Tuesday’s hit track ‘Voices Carry’ and American Hi-Fi’s ‘The Breakup Song’.

Around two years later, her debut album “It’s Always the Innocent Ones” was re-released in Japan and received immense love from the audience. During those days, she toured for Miley Cyrus’s Best of Both Worlds Tour as a backing singer. Her career as an actress began in 2007 when she was chosen to play the role of Amy in an episode of the American sitcom How I Met Your Mother. In the same year, she was seen playing minor roles in several films including Annalisa/Tom in Pirate Camp, Amanda in Juno, Melody in On the Doll, and Gwen’s Friend in X’s & O’s.

In the 2008-year film Deadgirl, Candice played JoAnn alongside Shiloh Fernandez, Noah Segan, Jenny Spain, and Michael Bowen.
