Early Life & Education – Arséma Thomas was born on June 19, 1994, in Atlanta Georgia, to an Ethiopian mother and a Nigerian father. Both are diplomats as per their profession who relocated to Kampala, Uganda when she was just two weeks old. She attended an independent boarding school called Linden Hall, located in Lititz, Pennsylvania and then went to Carnegie Mellon University where she graduated in Biophysics. After that, Thomas attended Yale University School of Public Health to receive a professional degree in areas related to public health called Masters of Public Health.

Career – After completing her education, she worked in maternal and child mobile health clinics at several places to serve people. Her father died due to Lou Gehrig’s disease after which, she decided to make a career in acting. She then enrolled in a couple of short courses at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. She also went to the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art but got selected for the pivotal role in Netflix’s Queen Charlotte and she put her studies on hold.

In 2018, She appeared in a short film titled Nightwatcher where she played Leila. The actress made her TV debut after starring as Christie in the pilot of One Touch in 2021. Her first feature film role came in D.J. Caruso’s romance drama Redeeming Love in which she had a small role as Rebecca. The film featured Abigail Cowen, Logan Marshall-Green, and Tom Lewis in the main roles.

Netflix anticipated limited series “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story” has already made its debut on the streaming giant and met with positive critics’ reviews which indeed helped the series to spot at number one in 91 countries within a week after its premiere. The series serves as a prequel spin-off of Netflix’s most popular series Bridgerton.
