Early Life & Education – Zawe Ashton was born Zawedde Ashton on July 25, 1984, in Hackney, London, to Victoria and Paul Ashton. She has two younger siblings whether they are sisters, brothers, or one of each we don’t know yet. Her father is English whereas her mother is from Uganda. She went to Elizabeth Garrett Anderson School for her secondary education located in Islington. She then studied at Parliament Hill School in Camden, London.
While growing up, Zawe became interested in acting due to which she enrolled in an independent and co-education performing arts school called Anna Scher Theatre School in Islington.
