MyAnna Buring, born as Anna Margaretha My Rantapää, is a Swedish-born UK-based film and television actress. She began her acting career by making minor appearances on several television shows, but later on, gained international fame and popularity. MyAnna Burning was born on 22 September 1979 in Sundsvall, Sweden. Her parents are Swedish. she moved to the Middle East when she was just two years old. She went to British-American School in Oman, and later on, attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art where she studied acting and became a graduate in 2004.

In 2004, she made her acting debut with the television crime-drama Murder Prevention where she starred in an episode “Last Man Out: Part 1” as Michelle Wayne, followed by Kirsty Morrison in the medical drama Casualty.

The next year, she marked her film feature debut as Sam in the horror film The Descent. She was in the film as one of the main characters among the women who ventured down into an uncharted cave system. She also starred in the sequel of the film titled The Descent Part 2, released in 2009.

She went on to make episode appearances in the television series Doctor Who (2006), The Bill (2007), Midsomer Murders (2008), Comedy Lab (2010), and Inspector George Gently (2010).

Some of her prominent roles include having been cast as Sam in The Descent, Tanya Denali in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn- Part 1 and 2, Long Susan in Ripper Street, and Tissaia in The Witcher.
