Who Is Katie Parker? – Katie Parker is an American film and television actress who is best known for her roles in the series The Haunting of Hill House and Halt and Catch Fire. Early Life & Education – Katie Parker was born on January 5, 1986, in Virginia to David and Linda Parker. She has three siblings: two brothers named Danny Parker and Nat Parker and a sister named Parker Wallace, as per the details available in the public domain. She received her primary education from elementary school and high school in Virginia. After that, she attended the University of Virginia where she developed her interest in acting. After graduation, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.

Career – Prior to making her film and television debut, she appeared in a number of commercials. Then, she landed a small role in the television series titled The Young and the Restless. In 2011, she marked her film debut in the horror mystery Absentia where she was in the lead role of Callie alongside Courtney Bell, Dave Levine, and Justin Gordon. Directed and written by Mike Flanagan, It follows a woman and her sister who begin to link a mysterious tunnel to a series of disappearances, including that of her own husband.

She then starred in the series The Therapist and in the horror thriller The Family later in the same year. Her next role came in the horror film Oculus which was directed and co-written by Mike Flanagan. The film featured Karen Gillan, Brenton Thwaites, Katee Sackhoff, and Rory Cochrane in the lead roles. It was her second collaboration between Mike and Katie. Between 2014 to 2016, she went on to make episode appearances in the series Masters of S#x, NCIS: New Orleans, Halt and Catch Fire (TV series), and Rizzoli & Isles.

She next appeared in a small role in Gus Krieger’s horror The Binding. Her first noticeable role came in the same year when she played a pivotal role in the drama film The Last Alleycat.
