Netflix romantic comedy “Emily in Paris” received mixed reviews from the experts despite having 58 million viewership which was revealed by the giant OTT platform Netflix itself. The show received astonishing viewership but failed to impress the critics due to not showing French culture in a manner. Well, there is good news for those who loved the show which is, Emily in Paris has been renewed for its second season and it is officially announced by Netflix.
Darren Star, who previously created shows like Sex and the City (1998-2004), Younger (2015-2021), and several others, has announced “I am thrilled to be returning to Paris for a second season to continue Emily’s adventures in the magical ‘City of Light.”
The official Instagram page of Emily in Paris has published a post “Bonjour from Paris (and maybe some other areas of France😉)! We’re officially back in production on Season 2!“. We will be soon binging the next season of Emily in Paris.
Emily in Paris Season 2 Release Date
The first season of Emily in Paris was released on October 2, 2020, and immediately became one of the trending shows which also managed to be in Netflix top most popular shows of that time.
As per the video posted by Netflix, Emily in Paris 2 officially began production on May 3 and has been wrapped up by August 4.
According to the recent news, Emily in Paris season 2 is likely to be released on December 22, 2021.

Emily in Paris Season 2 Plot
The first season has ended up with some suspense when Camille, the ex of Gabriel, messaged Emily and wants to talk to her. In the upcoming season, it will be interesting seeing how things get sorted between them? Will Emily, Gabriel, and Camille remain still friends? Which beautiful lady will Gabriel choose, Emily or Camille?
Since Gabriel wants to open his own restaurant but don’t wanna take help from Camille’s family. He evens get break up with Camille and decides to move back to Normandy in the final episode. Later, we see Gabriel and Emily spend a night together and get intimated.
Though, things get changed when Antoine, Emily’s one of the clients who owns a perfume company called Maison Lavaux, offers to invest in Gabriel’s dream restaurant.
