Early Life & Education – Aubrey Plaza was born on June 26, 1984, in Wilmington, Delaware, United States. She is the daughter of Bernadette and David Plaza. Her mother is an attorney whereas her father is a financial advisor. She has two younger sisters named Renee and Natalie. Plaza went to Ursuline Academy and graduated in 2002. She then attended New York University‘s Tisch School of the Arts where she studied film and graduated in 2006.

Career – Early in her career, she worked as an intern at NBC Page and subsequently started performing sketch comedy and Improvisational theatre at Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. In the meantime, she began performing at the Laugh Factory and The Improv. Plaza landed in the online series titled The Jeannie Tate Show and Mayne Street.

In 2006, She commenced her television career after appearing in an episode in the American satirical series 30 Rock. That same year, she starred in short films Killswitch and In Love. Her television breakthrough role came in 2009 when she was chosen to play April Ludgate in the American sitcom Parks and Recreation. She was seen in 125 episodes which helped her to get more acting offers.

In 2009, Plaza also made her feature film debut by playing the role of Kelly Peters in Dan Eckman’s Mystery Team. Her next role was in Judd Apatow’s Funny People which stars Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen, Leslie Mann, and Eric Bana in the lead. Her first challenging role was in the 2012 comedy film Safety Not Guaranteed in which she was in the main role as Darius. Her performance was critically acclaimed.

After then, she was seen playing important roles in films like The Do List, and Life After Beth, and voiced Grumpy Cat in the 2014 animation film Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever. Her other best-known performances in films include Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, The Little Hours, Ingrid Goes West, Black Bear, Happiest Season, and Emily the Criminal.
