Early Life – Jessie Mei Li is an English actress who was born on 27 August 1995, in Brighton, East Sussex, England, to an English mother and a Chinese-born, Hong Kong-raised father. She grew up in Redhill, Surrey along with her older brother.

Education – Jessie attended St. Bede’s School for her primary education and later went to Reigate College. Furthermore, she started studying languages but dropped out and the reasons are not known. Soon after this, she began working with special needs children and in the meantime, she joined the National Youth Theatre. She then started studying acting part-time at Identity School of Acting from 2016 to 2017.

Career – In 2018, she was chosen to play the role of Rose in the short film Shortflix. It was her first on-screen performance. In the same year, she made her TV debut in the crime drama series Strangers where she had a minor role in an episode.

After making her TV and film debut appearance, she made her stage debut as well after playing the role of Claudia Casswell in February 2019 in All About Eve at Noel Coward Theatre.
