The Season of Passage
Back In 2021, It was announced that Mike Flanagan is set to director Christopher Pike’s sci-fi horror novel The Season of Passage which would be the second Pike project for Intrepid Pictures after Netflix’s The Midnight Club.

I’m so excited to be collaborating with my brother James, and my partner in crime Intrepid Pix on this epic horror movie – in space – for Universal Pics. When I used to daydream about the theatrical trailer for this movie back in the early ’90s, I always imagined it set to Sarah McLachlan’s POSSESSION…”

The Life of Chuck
Mike’s other project would be titled The Life of Chuck which was announced early in this year. This would be based on Stephen King’s novel If It Bleeds and will star Tom Hiddleston and Mark Hamill in the main roles. The details of the other cast have not been unveiled yet.
The director has previously helmed movies based on Stephen’s novel Gerald’s Game in 2017 and Doctor Sleep in 2019. Both are available on Netflix for streaming.
Mike Flanagan is set to direct, write the script, and produce for Intrepid Pictures alongside his fellow producer Trevor Macy. While FilmNation Entertainment will internationally distribute the film.
The Dark Tower
The Haunting of Hill House director has revealed that he is lined up with the supernatural TV show The Dark Tower based on the novel by Stephen King. The show was originally announced back in December 2022, and Mike revealed that he and his team are currently working on this project, but it got delayed due to the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
More details about the series are not unveiled yet, but we are expecting some details to be dropped very soon. The series may premiere on Amazon Prime Video as part of the Flanagan and Amazon deal. However, the release date is still unknown.
