What’s new in version 3.4 “Slam Dunk” of the Vue.js framework

The latest release of the Vue.js JavaScript framework was released at the end of 2023. In version 3.4 “Slam Dunk” the following improvements were made for the current work of programmers:

• The template analyzer was rewritten, which gave up to 2x speedup for data processing.
• The reactivity system has been reworked, making effects work with greater accuracy.
• The defineModel method, which is responsible for two-way binding between the parent value and the local value, has been stabilized.
• The watchEffect callback has been optimized – now it will only fire when the calculated result actually changes.
• Reduced unnecessary re-rendering of components in many scenarios.
• Data synchronization from the array is started once after all calculations are completed.
• Removed obsolete features.
