Early Life & Education – Justine Lupe was born on May 31, 1989, in Denver, Colorado, to John Lupe and Katherine Schomp. She graduated from Denver School of the Arts in 2007. It was a place where she started performing and fell in love with acting. She soon discovered that acting is the only thing that she wanted to pursue as a professional career. After high school, she took a bold step to move to New York City where she then attended the prestigious Juilliard School and graduated in 2011.

Career – It was the year 2011 when she kicked off her acting after playing the role of Monica in the short film Three Forms of Insomnia. That year, she made her television debut on CBS American police procedural crime drama series Unforgettable. She played the role of Ashley in an episode titled Friended in this series. She had a minor appearance in Alexander Poe’s directorial debut Ex-Girlfriends. The film received negative reviews which featured Poe, Jennifer Carpenter, and Kristen Connolly in the leads.

Justine Lupe then starred as Candace in the American drama film Not Fade Away, directed and written by David Chase. In the same year, She had several television productions including Southland, Harry’s Law, and Royal Pains. In the 2013 comedy-drama film Frances Ha, Justine Lupe played Nessa. That same year, she featured as Blake Collins in Shameless in an episode titled “May I Trim Your Hedges?”.

She got her first major role in the American sitcom series Cristela in which she was seen essaying the character of Trent’s materialistic daughter named Maddie Culpepper. The series premiered on ABC from October 10, 2014, to April 14, 2015, and got cancelled after season one on May 7, 2015. She was next cast as Maggie Rossum in the legal and crime drama The Good Wife, Jade Winslow in the comedy-drama in Younger, and Margie in BrainDead.

She is best known for her appearance as Holly Gibney in Mr. Mercedes (2017-2019), Victoria, in Snowfall (2017), Astrid Weissman in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2017-2013), and Willa Ferreyra in Succession (2018-2023).
