Jeri Ryan was born on 22 February 1968 and her birthplace is Munich, West Germany. She is the daughter of Gerhard Florian “Jerry” Zimmermann, a master sergeant in the U.S. Army, and Sharon, a social worker. She has an older brother named Mark.
She was educated at Lone Oak High School in 1986 and later went to Northwestern University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre in 1990. This is how her interest in acting developed.
After completing college, she moved to Los Angeles in pursuit of a career in professional acting. Soon after, she bagged a small role in the television series Who’s the Boss? and the same year, she starred in various television series including The Flash, Top of the Heap, Nurses, and Reasonable Doubts.
