Rodriguez was born on July 30, 1984, in Chicago, Illinois, Unites States, to Gino Rodriguez, who worked as a professional boxing referee, and Magali Rodriguez. She is the youngest of three sisters in the family. She received her elementary education at St. Ignatius College Prep and later attended Tisch School of the Arts.
In the meantime, she received training for the next four years at both Atlantic Theatre Company and Experimental Theatre Wing and earned a degree in Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2005 as well.
After graduation, she directly landed in an episode of the crime drama television series Law & Order where she starred as Yolanda, subsequently, she made several episode appearances in such television series, Jonny Zero, Eleventh Hour, 10 Things I Hate About You, and a few others.
In 2008, she moved towards film work as well and made a debut in a drama film Calling It Quits where she was in a small role.
