Early Life – She was born on 19 October 1982 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to William F. Jacobs Jr. who works as an Investment banker, and Martina Magenau Jacobs who is an alumni relations officer at the prestigious Carnegie Mellon Unversity.
She attended Mt. Lebanon High School and subsequently went to Juilliard School where she completed her graduation with a degree in Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2004.
