Early Life – She was born on September 5, 1984, in Oxford, Oxfordshire, England. Not much is known about her parents, except her other family members from her mother’s side are well-established celebrities in the entertainment industry. She has an older brother named Francis who is a director and has worked for Michael Kors, a fashion designer, and Pixie Lott and Birdy, both singers.
Education – Annabelle attended Saint Dominic’s International School. Later, she moved to London in order to pursue an acting career and wanted to enroll in a prestigious drama school. Career – Early in her career, she worked on several short films in Portugal before moving to London for pursuing a career in the entertainment industry. In London, she appeared in some advertisements and began auditioning for feature films and TV shows.
In 2005, she marked her film debut in the Indian drama Dil Jo Bhi Kahey…. where she was seen playing one of the lead roles as Sophie Besson alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Revathi Nair, Karan Sharma, and Bhumika Chawla. The film failed to impress the audience and also didn’t perform well at the box office. She then had a small role in Thriller True True Lie (2006) alongside Jaime King and Body of Lies (2008) in which she played Mark Strong’s girlfriend.
She also made her television debut in the 2005 crime drama Jericho where she essayed the character Lizzie Way in an episode titled The Killing of Johnny Swan. Her breakthrough role came in 2009 when she was chosen to play the role of queen Jane Seymour in the Showtime drama The Tudors. Her outstanding performance made the critics notice her for the first time.
Over the years, she starred in many films including X-Men: First Class (2011), Annabelle (2014), Sword of Vengeance (2015), King Arthur: Legend of the Sword (2017), and TV shows The Lost Future (2010), Strike Back: Project Dawn (2011), Pan Am (2011), and many others.
