She has a younger brother Dylan Torv. Anna went to All Saints Anglican School and then attended Benowa State High School located in Gold Coast, Australia. She graduated from Benowa in 1996. After then, she received a degree in performing arts from the prestigious National Institute of Dramatic Art in 2001.
Career – She began acting after performing as Bess in the play “The Night Before Christmas” at Roman Scandals Theatre Restaurant. Prior to making her professional acting debut, she appeared on several stage shows including Undiscovered Country, Richard III, Plenty, Ring Round the Moon, Goodnight Children Everywhere, Hamlet, and The Cherry Orchard.
Anna landed her first television role in 2002. It was a small role in Ken Cameron’s White Collar Blue. In the same year, she played the role of Irena Nedov in the Australian TV police drama Young Lions. She made her film debut in Travelling Light, where she appeared as Debra Fowler alongside Pia Miranda and Sacha Horler. The film was written and directed by Kathryn Millard.

She is best known for her role in series like Mindhunter, The Newsreader, and The Last of Us.
